The Silpro team is capable of manufacturing extruded profiles to suit virtually any specification. The shapes below are some examples of the types of extrusion profiles we can produce, using inexpensive tooling developed from either computer generated models, drawings or sketches, or reverse-engineered from samples. They can all be extruded in different grades and hardness of silicone rubber.
Flap sealsFor low pressure sealing applications to IP66 and gap filling solutions.
'P' tapesDoor frame seals in hollow or solid profiles can be mitred and joined into picture frame gaskets.
'D' sectionsUsed in applications where constant opening/closing movement is required, for example, oven doors, inspection hatches etc.
Channel sectionsAutoclave, glazing or protective edging can be manufactured in soft touch or rigid silicone rubbers.
Inflatable sealsIdeal to form a vacuum seal or for 'pick and place' robotics operations in hostile environments. These profiles can have moulded-in air valves or feeder tubes.
Profile Tooling is manufactured using latest CAM, CAD technology and we supply samples or short runs within 7 to 10 days.
Extruded Profiles are offered in soft touch silicone rubbers to tough hard rubbers with a maximum hardness of 90 IRHD.
We supply a wide range of grades to suit most environments, High Temperature, High Strength, Fluorosilicones for tough, hostile conditions to protect against corrosive solvents and extreme steam resistance. These are just a few of the features we are able to incorporate into our profiled extrusions.
